Lauren Arihood obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from George Washington University in 2016. Lauren’s primary focus has been treating a variety of orthopedic conditions. Lauren has a passion for determining how a patient’s movement pattern(s) contribute to their underlying condition. She is also adept and skilled at treating headaches, vertigo, and concussion. Lauren further went on to obtain her certification in Manual Trigger Point Therapy in June 2018 and has utilized trigger point dry needling to reduce patients’ pain and speed up their recovery.
Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Lauren was a forensic scientist for ~10 years and needless to say it was not all glitz and glamour as portrayed on TV! ! In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband Brent and their two dogs, Nymeria and Kiana. She also enjoys working out, biking, hiking, and being active in general. Lauren is originally from Philadelphia and as a result is a die-hard Eagles and Philadelphia sports fan!
