Why choose a Boutique Service(s)?
Have your visits covered through insurance run out? Are you independent in your home exercise program but still receive benefits from specific physical therapy services you cannot receive at home? Would you like to receive 1 on 1 personal care from our physical therapist, without other patients being treated simultaneously. Are your deductable and copay too high but you would like to have a licensed physical therapist supervise and guide you as your recover from an injury? These are a few of the reasons why our Boutique Services may work for you.
Do I need a prescription from my doctor?
Maryland holds direct access legislation allowing patients to go directly to a licensed physical therapist without a physician’s referral.
While state law allows direct access, some insurers may have additional requirements. To find out if your insurance company requires a referral for PT simply contact their customer service department.
Direct access to a physical therapist will allow you to be treated earlier, resulting in a quicker recovery and return to your normal activities. Your physician of choice can still be actively involved in your care just as your physical therapist of choice.
